Siemer Milling Company, led by President and CEO, Richard Siemer, celebrates its 135 Year Anniversary as a family and employee-owned business. The Village of Teutopolis has also honored Siemer Milling Company as the November 2017 Business of the Month.
The company was first founded on November 6, 1882 in Teutopolis, IL, under the name of Hope Mills, Uptmor & Siemer, Proprietors. In 1906, Joseph Siemer and his son, Clemens J. purchased the company interests and changed the name to Siemer Milling Company. A new, larger mill was built in Teutopolis in 1979, and a second mill facility was added in Hopkinsville, KY, in 1995. Additional expansions developed in 2003 with the construction of the Heat Treatment plant and launch of the Siemer Specialty Ingredients Division. In 2015, a third mill facility was opened in West Harrison, IN. During this same time the new corporate headquarters was completed in Teutopolis, IL. A new Tech Center in Teutopolis was just recently unveiled in October 2017.

Siemer Milling Company is engaged in the creation of grain-based foods that are wholesome, nutritious, and satisfy consumer needs. Its primary product is wheat flour milled to different specifications for the making of such foods as cookies, crackers, cakes, pretzels, batters and breadings, bread and biscuits.
