Siemer Milling Leadership Meets with University of Kentucky

Rick and Henry Siemer at University of Kentucky

Leadership from Siemer Milling recently visited the University of Kentucky, Lexington, to discuss the progress of key initiatives we’ve supported.

Rick Siemer, Henry Siemer, and Brian Semple represented our company in these discussions. A primary focus of the visit was to receive updates on the reconstruction of the Princeton Research Facility, which was destroyed by a tornado in December 2021. The new facility is projected for completion in Fall 2025 and represents an important step in continuing vital wheat research in the region.

Our team had the opportunity to meet with several key university leaders:
● Dave Van Sanford, the esteemed wheat breeder
● Chad Lee, director of the Grain & Forage Center of Excellence at Princeton, KY
● Carrie Knott, agronomist and director of the Research and Education Center at Princeton
● Nancy Cox, Dean of The College of Agriculture

The discussions centered on the utilization of Siemer Milling Company’s investment and donation funds, which were established over six years ago. We’re pleased to see how these funds continue to support wheat improvement efforts at the university, furthering our commitment to advancing agricultural research and sustainable farming practices.
