It’s almost time at Siemer Milling Company, and that means crop tours are in full swing! This past week we held crop tours at each of our locations. Our first crop tour took place May 25, 2017 in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Although we weren’t able to get out into the fields due to the rain, we gathered some great insights from the farmers and wheat consultants who spent time with us.We had beautiful weather for our West Harrison, Indiana crop tour, which took place June 1, 2017. It looked like harvest in that area was about 2-3 weeks away!
The beautiful weather continued yesterday, June 2, 2017 for our crop tour in Teutopolis, Illinois. The crops were in ideal condition, with some varieties looking as if they could be harvested in as early as 1 week. Full harvest in Teutopolis was estimated to be around 2 weeks away.
