Siemer Milling Company’s very own Vice President of Grain Supply, Carl Schwinke has been elected as a director for the National Wheat Foundation!
The NWF held officer and director elections at their annual meeting in March.
For the past 34 years at Siemer Milling, Carl has been responsible for overseeing risk management of wheat and co-products for our three flour mills. Additionally, Carl is a past board member of the National Grain and Feed Association and presently holds a position on the Risk Management Committee. Furthermore, he has served as a member of the Executive Committee of the US Wheat and Barley Scab Initiative and is the Industry Representative on the Kentucky Small Grain Growers Association, as well as having been on the Illinois Wheat Association Board of Directors.
When asked about this opportunity, Carl mentioned, “The National Wheat Foundation plays a critical role in promoting wheat as a vital part of our sustainable food supply. I am proud to be a part of this effort.”
The NWF is a non-profit organization that strives to be the leading authority of wheat-related research, education, and outreach initiatives by embodying core values of grower-centeredness, integrity, honesty, and trustworthiness. It also seeks to promote the wheat industry through meaningful collaborations with stakeholders.
Congratulations Carl!
